At 39 Martin Place, the new Sydney headquarters for Natixis CIB Australia, Natixis Investment Managers, and Azure Capital marks a significant milestone as these organizations come together in a shared space for the first time. This innovative workplace hub fosters a sense of connection, collaboration, and flexibility among its occupants.
The design, directed by Hot Black Interiors and driven by the concept of ‘interweaving unity,’ emphasises the importance of collaboration, employee well-being, and an enhanced client experience. The space showcases a refined and modern aesthetic, blending local design influences with subtle references to the French heritage of the businesses. The thoughtfully curated textures and forms create a distinctive yet professional environment, carefully tailored to support the dynamic needs of its users.
A standout feature of the project is the lighting design, led by Evolved Engineering, who with the support of Jadecross, expertly selected lighting solutions for each unique space. Custom-made track mounted Nightfall linear downlights were developed to sit perfectly flush between the feature linear battens in the front of house with accompanying LED pelmet lighting to give the appearance that the ceiling is floating. This was achieved while not distracting from the centre piece of the Elsa Jeandedieu textured mural which was created on site by hand and perfectly grazed with our Coolon Aduro CL.
The thoughtful integration of these lighting solutions by Evolved Engineering plays a crucial role in enhancing the space’s overall atmosphere, contributing to a workplace that is as inspiring as it is practical.
